Autonomía

After some long months, I’m back at the mixtape business. I’ve just finished packing up the last zip. From Columbia to Hamburg! Out now! Asturias, 2024 autumn.
-
Totó la Momposina: Tu Tambor (Colombia, 2018)
Aqui usted tiene todos los secretos! One of my child’s favorite songs these days.
-
Roots Architects: Memories of Old (Jamaica, 2024)
It’s 6am in the morning. It’s still dark. It’s rather fresh, and hopefully not raining. Roots reggae and maria might give me a hand to get out of the bed and drive 40 min to the beach to surf before work. Let’s get on the ride!
-
Winds of Matterhon: Fire (Switzerland, 2021)
Incredible great rocksteady! Jump to dance, dude!
-
Besh O Drom: Agrár DnB (Hungary, 2024)
I’ve never really been a big fan on Besh O Drom despite their popularity and my love of balkan and gipsy music. Recently, however, I’ve stumbled upon a song of theirs that is just so much fun! It’s the farmer’s drum and bass. Ride on!
-
Sara Muñiz: Las Manos II (Spain, 2023)
I discovered Sara Muñiz while looking for local musicians. She was born in Asturias, the region I live in, in the same year as me. She plays beautiful piano music. Es tranquila. It also reminds me of my brother because he plays the piano beautifully, too.
-
Lanou: Madaram szállj (Hungary, 2023)
During my grief over the disband of Meszecsinka, I’ve come across this group. Oláh Annamária, the ex-singer of Meszecsinka, was featured in one of their songs. I love the whole album, a refreshing blend of Hungarian folk and electronic music. Madaram szállj!
-
Kikagaku Moyo: Kodama (Japan, 2023)
I love when Japanese hippies play krautrock!
-
Meszecsinka: I give it back (Hungary, 2019)
I’m so grateful for being able to live in Budapest at the time this band was forming. Ten years forward, they are a fantastic group playing some insanely good psychedelic witch rock. I certainly miss this band. I often listen to their music.
-
Mungolian Jetset: Smells Like Gasoline (Norway, 2012)
A Star Guitar flashback. Chemical brothers had some unforgettable video clips to their music, dude.
-
Coco Bryce: Irian Jaya (Netherlands, 2019)
Further riding with the jungle train!
-
Extrawelt: Riverrun (Germany, 2024)
Welcome to techno land! Here’s a recent composition of the Hamburg duo.
-
Philippe Gagne: Cry Me a (St. Lawrence) River (ft. Marianne) (Canada, 2017)
Hope enjoyed the ride, my friend!
